Products Description
Black basalt slabs are a solid choice if you're looking for something strong, simple, and modern.
Basalt is a volcanic stone-formed from rapidly cooled lava-which makes it naturally dense and hard-wearing. These slabs come in a deep grey to true black tone with a fine, even texture. They look clean and minimalist, whether used indoors or outside.

How to Install Black Basalt Slabs on a Wall

1. Prepare the Surface
Make sure the wall is:
Flat and clean
Dry and free from dust, oil, or loose material
Strong enough to hold the weight of stone (especially for large slabs)
For exterior walls, check the structure for load-bearing capacity.
2. Choose the Right Adhesive or Anchoring Method
Depending on the slab size and installation height:
Use stone tile adhesive (cement-based or epoxy) for small to medium slabs
For heavy or high wall installations, add mechanical anchors for extra support
For outdoor or high-moisture areas, use waterproof, weather-resistant adhesive
3. Back-Butter the Slabs
Apply adhesive not just to the wall, but also to the back of each slab. This ensures full contact and reduces the risk of hollow spots or detachment.
4. Position and Level
Start from the bottom row and work upward
Use spacers or temporary supports to keep the slabs aligned
Always check for level and plumb
For seamless finishes, keep joint gaps tight (or customize to your design)
5. Grout and Seal
After the adhesive sets, fill joints with matching grout if needed
Once fully dry (usually after 24–48 hours), apply stone sealer to protect from water, stains, and UV
6. Clean Up
Wipe off any remaining grout or adhesive from the surface. Use a soft cloth or stone-safe cleaner-avoid harsh chemicals.

Tips
Basalt is naturally strong, but like most stones, sealing it helps protect against moisture and keeps the color richer over time-especially in outdoor or wet areas.
